Windie City Shootout Entry “Caleb”
Caleb
Caleb is Ready Freddy Films’ entry into the 2011 Windie City Shootout. The competition tasked filmmakers with creating an entire film, from pre-production to post, within 72 hours. The competition called for a short film that was no longer than ten minutes and had to include three assigned elements – a prop, a line of dialogue and a location. Our prop was a black and white photograph by Ashley Reiss, our line of dialogue was “You got ketchup in my ice cream” and our location was a kitchen. Caleb went on to become an official selection of the Critic’s Top 15 list.
Caleb tracks the story of a young man with a troubled past, forced to take on a menial employment to pay for a new apartment with his girlfriend. While attempting to get a handle on his new job, Caleb is harassed by one of the staff. The abuse gradually causes Caleb to act desperately.”
The film contains BLOOD and ADULT LANGUAGE.
